NTA debunks low recruitment of locals at Khorixas VTC claims

The Khorixas community raised concerns over alleged low recruitment of Khorixas locals at the recently inaugurated Khorixas Vocational Training Centre . The Namibia Training Authority ( NTA ) finds these allegations baseless . In the fight against unemployment in their town , Khorixas residents alleged low recruitment of locals at the training centre . The community alleged that those employed at the institution are from other towns , expressing that they are concerned over the ever – rising unemployment in their town . ‘ Khorixas residents aren ‘ t even employed as cleaners at the institution ,’ one resident said . In response to queries by Nampa on the matter , NTA spokesperson Mornay Louw dismissed the allegations directed towards the VTC . ‘ The NTA finds these allegations without basis ,’ Louw wrote . Louw responded , ‘ The NTA conducts its recruitment in line with its Recruitment and Selection Policy , which in turn aligns to legislation and national labour requirements .’ The NTA said that the Khorixas
VTC has thus far employed three cleaners , one driver , and one receptionist from Khorixas .
