The Provincial Task Team supported by Hanover SAPS on Thursday, 15 August 2024 followed up on information regarding alleged dealing in drugs at identified premises in Hanover.
The team operationalised the information and pounced on the suspected identified houses.
Several identified premises were searched, resulting the arrest of 5 suspects, including a 33-year-old female and 4 male suspects between the age of 28 and 63 years old.
They were arrested on charges ranging from dealing in drugs, contravention of the National Credit Act, possession of ammunition and stock theft.
Drugs with an estimated street value of R12 245 and cash believed to be the proceeds of crime was confiscated.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Luntu Ngubelanga applauded the team for their tireless efforts and commended the community for providing information regarding drug related activities that secured the arrest of dealers who provide drugs within the community.
