In an effort to unlock young people’s potential and pave way to their development, the North West Provincial Government through Office of the Premier invites youth in the province who have the desire to pursue fulltime studies during 2023 academic year, to apply for the Victor Thebe Sifora Provincial Bursary Scheme.

Priority will be given to young people studying towards an undergraduate qualification at public institutions; and to applicants who are financially needy and academically performing well. Application to private institutions will be considered only under exceptional cases to address the identified provincial skills need.

The bursary allocation process is, among others, informed by the identification of skills needs by the Provincial Government Departments and other provincial and national priorities. Furthermore, the intention is to address the rate of unemployment and poverty in the province by empowering the youth through education.

Youth from all four districts of the province are encouraged to apply. The closing date for the submission of on-line Bursary Application Forms is 30th November 2022.
