Lieutenant General Mene also used this platform to bid farewell to five SAPS and Civilian personnel who will be retiring this month. She wished them well and thanked them for their dedication and commitment to the SAPS.
A total of six mobile Community Service Centres were also handed over to SAPS Maluti, Lady Frere, Cofimvaba, Katkop, Swartkops and Libode. Five vehicles were handed over to SAPS Lusikisiki to bolster services to their communities.
In handing over these mobile units and vehicles, Lieutenant General Mene stressed the importance of improving on service delivery. ‘There should be no excuses from these stations of poor service to the communities. The mobile community service centres are fully equipped and must be utilised in areas where there are challenges with regard to accessibility by the communities to their respective police stations,’ added Lt Gen Mene.
Day one of the Provincial Management Forum is underway at the Vista University in Missionvale.
