Napier Police arrest two foreign nationals in possession of dagga worth R66,000.00

Police operational deployments in the Overberg yielded positive results when an integrated operation led by Napier SAPS resulted in the arrest of two suspects found in possession of dagga with an estimated street value of R66 000.

On Wednesday, 14 August 2024, the members were busy with crime combatting operations on the R316 when a red Toyota Yaris approached the barricade. The driver of the motor vehicle failed to stop and sped through the road block at high speed. The police members gave chase and forced the driver of the motor vehicle to stop. They searched the occupants and the vehicle upon which they discovered 44 bags filled with dagga. The discovery resulted in the arrest of two males for dealing in dagga.

Once charged, the suspects are expected to make a court appearance in the Bredasdorp Magistrates’ court on the mentioned charge.
