The Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) in the Zambezi Region on Monday arrested a suspect for the alleged murder of a 42 – year – old resident , Sibuku Calvin Sinyepe . The arrested suspect is expected to appear in the Katima Mulilo Regional Court on Wednesday . According to NamPol ‘ s Spokesperson for the Zambezi Region , Inspector Kisco Sitali , said Sinyepe was shot and killed in cold blood in March this year by unknown assailants as he was returning home in the late evening hours . The murder docket remained open since March and the police on Monday reacted on the available information and tip – offs to arrest the suspect at a local shop at Katima Mulilo . The suspect , who is believed to have been hiding in neighbouring Zambia , was interrogated and searched by the police . ‘ The cellphone found with the suspect was checked and found to be the deceased ‘ s mobile , which was robbed from him on the day he was murdered ,’ said the Inspector . Family members of the deceased identified the cellphone and confir
med its matching serial number to be that of the deceased . Police investigations into the matter continue .
