Gqeberha:  SAPS Algoa Park arrested an alleged murder suspect after a man was fatally stabbed during the early hours of Saturday morning, 11 December 2021 in Algoa Park.

It is alleged that at approximately 00:10, the deceased was home with his girlfriend in Whyteleaf Drive in Algoa Park when he was embroiled in an argument with a man at his house. While he was busy drinking a beer outside, his neighbour approached him asking for beer as well.  It is further alleged that the deceased refused to give the suspect a beer where after he was stabbed once on the left side of his chest.  The deceased Roland Phyllis (40) died on the scene.

The suspect was arrested and detained on a charge of murder and will appear in the New Brighton Magistrates’ Court during the week.
