EASTERN CAPE – A 48-year-old alleged murder suspect is in police custody following the murder of a 21-old-year man at Mampingeni Location on Friday 13 August 2021.

It is alleged that at about 17:00, the deceased was on the way to collect livestock when he was approached by the suspect who alighted from his vehicle and started firing at the deceased.

The suspect was later arrested and his licensed firearm confiscated.

He is expected to appear in the Ngcobo magistrate court on Monday 16 August 2021

In another unrelated incident, Comfimvaba police are on the hunt for a murder suspect after the body of a male was found lying on the road with multiple stab wounds.

A case of murder is under investigation.
