Murder convict sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment

FREE STATE – Lehlohonolo Tsotetsi Hippo (25) was sentenced to fifteen (15) years imprisonment by Botshabelo Magistrate Court on Monday 28 February 2022. On Friday 5 February 2021 the police at Boithuso Client Service Centre received a complaint of a fight that happened near a tavern in Botshabelo S-Section at about 22:05.

The patrol vehicle was despatched to attend and on arrival the members found a male lying motionless next to the rest room. The paramedics also arrived and declared the victim dead.

Preliminary investigation started and information from witnesses led the police to the arrest of the 25-year-old male known as Hippo. The trial started in Botshabelo Magistrate Court and finally Lehlohonolo Tsotetsi was sentenced to spend fifteen years of his life behind bars.
