Mopani District police joined hands with faith based organizations during 16 Days of Activism for no violence against women and children awareness campaign

MOPANI: A Women’s Conference was held on Thursday, 08 December 2021 at Lulekani EPCSA Church to concretise the congregations about the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children awareness campaign on Saturday 11 December 2021.

 

Sergeant Rirhandzu Desiree Maakani and Constable Nkhensani Nkuna, Social Crime Prevention Coordinators of SAPS Namakgale and SAPS Lulekani collaborated with the Presbyterian Church led by Rev Khosa with his congregation comprising of women of all ages including grandmothers.

 

They were addressed about these issues:

 

* Gender Based Violence (GBV)

* Professional assistance when encountering marital problems

* Reporting of criminal activities

* Femicide

* Mob justice

 

Sergeant Maakani concluded her address by encouraging women to educate and enrich their partners to respect and unconditionally love and endure their families.
