The Matlala Police in the Capricorn District are seeking the community’s assistance in locating a missing mentally challenged man, Phuti Joas Mahwiting (60), from Juno village.
Mahwiting was last seen on 01 July 2024, when he informed his family that he was going to the doctor at the local Tibane Mall. He never returned home.
Mahwiting is slender and was wearing a green shirt and green trousers at the time of his disappearance.
The incident was reported to the police on August 14, and a search operation has been activated.
Anyone with any information that can assist in locating Phuti Joas Mahwiting is requested to contact Warrant Officer Winnie Manamela at 082 269 2971 or Crime Stop number 08600 1011, the nearest Police Station, or use the MySAPSApp.
