Missing elderly woman found and reunited with family

KIMBERLEY - A 71-year-old elderly woman, Kelebogile Patience Mandi has been found alive and well and she was reunited with her family earlier today.

Ms Kelebogile Patience Mandi was reported missing on Saturday, 16 April 2022 after she went missing while attending a family gathering in Ncwelengwe near Mothibistad. According to the report she was in the company of her family members from Bankhara village, attending a family gathering in Ncwelengwe village.

The police from Mothibistad launched the search subsequent to the report. On Saturday, 16 April 2022 the police searched for her in the village without success.

However she was found Monday morning, 18 April 2022 after surviving two nights in the bushes near Ncwelengwe village.

The Acting District Commissioner of the John Taolo Gaetsewe, Brigadier Johny Besnaar applauded police and the members of the community for a assisting the police in the search which led to safe reunion of Ms Kelebogile Patience Mandi with her family.
