The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) bid farewell to three of its senior staff members, including the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Gilbert Cooper, and two Deputy Secretaries, Mr. Teslim Uthman, and Mrs. Aminata Jimmy, in a ceremony held at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Sababu Building, New England Ville, Freetown.
The event brought together MTHE staff, university representatives, academic personnel, and Tertiary Education Commission members to honor these departing officials’ contributions.
In her opening remarks, the Director of Human Resources, Madam Rebecca M. Siaffa, reflected on her early days in the Ministry. She recounted the challenges, including a lack of basic furniture and the difficulties of sharing space with the Ministry of Basic and Sen.
