Acting Minister Nxesi to Launch the Integrated Public Service Month
The Acting Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Mr Thembelani Nxesi will on Thursday, 1 September 2022, launch the Integrated Public Service Month (IPSM) at Freedom Park, Tshwane, setting-off a series of activities earmarked to celebrate and recognise the work done by public servants across all three spheres of government country wide.
The September month is earmarked by government to celebrate the public service; Heritage; Tourism and the Arbor month in line with the government calendar.
The month-long programme takes place from 29 August to 01 October 2022 under the theme: “Batho Pele Revitalisation – walking the talk.”
This year’s IPSM focuses on bringing the Batho Pele Revitalisation Strategy to life, to reignite and re-inforce the Batho Pele principles and the Public Service Charter to public servants to be service-oriented, strive for excellence in service delivery, and commit to continuous service delivery improvement.
During the month, the country will also observe the 25 years Anniversary of the signing of the Constitution into law and promote the constitutional values and principles for public administration as enshrined in Section 195 of the Constitution (1996).
The launch will kick-start a series of activities by various government departments that will be rolled out across the country in all the three spheres of government throughout the month.
