The Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams to lead the Small Enterprise and Co-Operatives Policy Dialogue
The Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will lead the Small Enterprise and Co-operatives Policy Dialogue scheduled to take place in Nelspruit on 4 – 5 August 2022 under the theme “Overarching Small enterprise development through coordinated ecosystems”.
Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will be joined by Deputy Minister Sidumo Dlamini and collectively will engage practitioners, academics, policymakers, experts, small business associations and other role players across the ecosystem.
The Policy Dialogue will be hosted by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) together with its agencies, the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) and Small Enterprise Finance Agency (sefa) supported by the Ecosystem Development for Small Enterprise (EDSE) Programme.
The gazetted National Integrated Small Enterprise (NISED) Masterplan and the Co-operatives Development Policy, Act and Strategy will form the basis for deliberations at the dialogue.
The focus will be on how SMMEs, including Co-operatives, can be enhanced through priority policy interventions of the Department of Small Business Development and its agencies which includes: localisation, entrepreneurship strategy, incubation, market access and enterprise supplier development, access to finance, red tape reduction, infrastructure policy, informal business, SMMEs and co-operatives funding.
