Minister Dlamini Zuma to lead DDM stakeholder engagements towards the development of Eastern Seaboard

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will lead a series of District Development Model (DDM) stakeholder engagements towards the development of the Eastern Seaboard as part of the build-up programmes ahead of the President’s visit to Ugu on the 12 November 2021.

The Eastern Seaboard Development spans across two provinces, 4 districts and 17 municipalities situated along the 600km coastline. This costal development is an example what we can achieve if we plan and work together across spheres towards building inclusive local economies through leveraging district endowments, comparative advantages and optimising industrial structures.

Minister Dlamini Zuma will engage Traditional Leaders, Business and Community representatives from Ugu, Harry Gwala, O.R. Tambo and Alfred Nzo Districts respectively, in keeping with the principles of inclusive development informed by active citizenry participation.
