Police ministry engages community of Jane Furse on rural safety
In line with the South African Police Service’s Rural Safety Strategy, that is implemented as part of on-going efforts to address challenges of violent crimes, perpetrated against rural communities, the Ministry of Police will on Friday 02 September 2022, host a Ministerial Imbizo in Jane Furse; Limpopo.
Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will lead the community engagement, he will be joined by the national and provincial management of the South African Police Service, in engaging the community of Jane Furse, to address their crime concerns related to rural safety and incidents of stock theft.
The Ministerial outreach program also seeks to provide residents with a platform to discuss and engage the SAPS, on other identified crimes plaguing the community and at the same time promote and improve relations between police and the community at large.
