Media Invitation: SAPS hosts Youth Crime Prevention Dialogue on GBV and Femicide

The South African Police Service (SAPS) will host a dialogue on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Femicide amongst young people. The dialogue aims to address issues relating to the capacity of the SAPS in combatting this scourge.

 

The National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Khehla Sitole will lead a panel of officials from various youth entities. Panelists forming part of this discussion include leadership from the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), South African Youth Council (SAYC), South African Union of Students (SAUS),The South African Technical Vocational Education & Student Association (SATVETSA) and other key stakeholders.

 

The engagement aims  not only to enhance the SAPS response to the scourge but also aims to mobiliise young people to play an active part in blowing the whistle on GBV and Femicide.
