The Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele will on Friday, 29 April 2022, lead a Ministerial Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Imbizo in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape.

The community engagement will see the Minister of Police and senior management of the South African Police Service, engage the community on GBVF related concerns and also address their general safety and security issues.

According to the third quarter Crime Statistics 2021/2022, the Lusikisiki police station in the Eastern Cape and Umlazi and Inanda police stations in KwaZulu-Natal recorded the highest incidents of rape.
