Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on 08 October 2021, host an Imbizo in Mitchells Plain in Cape Town.
Minister Cele together with the Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale and the leadership of the South African Police Service (SAPS) at national and provincial levels will engage the community of Mitchells Plain to address their crime concerns.
According to the latest released crime statistics of the South African Police Service, the Mitchells Plain police station featured in most of the Top 30 stations in the province for various serious crime categories.
The Imbizo seeks to provide Mitchells Plain residents with a platform to discuss and engage the SAPS on the identified crimes plaguing the community and at the same time promote and improve relations between police and the community at large.
