Media Invitation: Police Minister heads to the Mpumalanga Province to inspect Safer Festive Season Operations

Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on Tuesday, 14 December 2021, continue with the annual Safer Festive Season Inspection Tour in Mpumalanga.

 

The visit forms part of efforts by the South African Police Service, to channel resources to areas where they are most needed, to ensure police deal decisively with crime during the holiday season.

 

Under the theme, “Extending our reach through blue light visibility” Minister Cele together with the SAPS management team from national and the province, led by the Acting Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General BM Lekubu, will assess the effectiveness of Safer Festive Season plans put in place, to ensure that residents and holidaymakers are and feel safe, during the holiday season.
