The South African Police Service led by Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, together with the MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Ms Violet Mathye, will on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 October 2024, conduct a Campus Safety awareness campaign at University of Limpopo( Mankweng).
The Campus Safety awareness campaign is aimed at raising awareness about potential safety threats, risks associated with learners on campus and provide comprehensive solutions to address them.
The Campus Safety Awareness campaign will see various stakeholders responsible for safety in institutions of higher learning expressing their support and willingness to collaborate with SAPS to establish a safe, secure and conducive learning environment.
The Provincial Commissioner and the MEC will use the opportunity to mobilise learners to be active participants in the fight against crime in their respective campus.
