The Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale and the management of the South African Police Service (SAPS) will on Saturday, 5 November 2022, embark on a Ministerial Stakeholders Engagement on Rural Safety & Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in Taung, North West.
The engagement is aimed at mobilising and engaging various stakeholders in Taung, especially commercial and subsistence farmers, community policing structures and creating awareness on crimes affecting the community. The meeting will also serve as an opportunity for the provincial SAPS management to address policing and safety concerns around the Taung area, located in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives from various stakeholders, including local leaders from the traditional and religious fraternity.
