Mecklenburg Police appeal to Pelpes Colley Maditlela to avail himself to police as he can assist in solving a case of murder

The police in Mecklenburg, Sekhukhune District are appealing to Pelpes Colley Maditlela, to report to the nearest police as we believe that his presence will be critical in assisting police to solve a case of murder. The information at our disposal is that a 43-year-old female victim was on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at about 23:00, in Ga-Phasha, Matshelapata village attacked and killed allegedly by a male person, presumably her boyfriend.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was residing with the victim. Information at our disposal is that the couple had a heated argument that night.

The following day, the children went to their mother’s room, only to find her lying in a pool of blood with severe wounds. They screamed for help, and their neighbours responded. The police and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were immediately dispatched to the scene and unfortunately they declared the victim dead on their arrival. She was identified as Brenda Ngwaile (43).

The motive of the incident is unknow
n at this stage, but domestic violence related issues cannot be ruled out, and police investigations are ongoing.

A manhunt for the suspect has been intensified.

The Police appeals to Pelpes Colley Maditlela (40), pictured below, to come forward and report at the nearest police station, as it is believed that he can assist the police to resolve this case.
