MEC Tertuis Simmers hands over title deeds in West Coast Towns, 1 Dec

Minister Simmers to hand over title deeds, houses and conduct a sod turning in three West Coast Towns

Tomorrow, 1 December 2021, Western Cape Minister of Human Settlements Tertuis Simmers, will visit the northern part of the West Coast District to significantly change the lives of a number of residents.

Minister Simmers will commence in Ebenhaeser to hand over 10 title deeds to residents. This will be followed by a housing handover in Vredendal where deserving and qualifying residents will finally have the opportunity to move into their own homes. The third and final stop will be in Lamberts Bay where a site visit will occur at the human settlement development.

Minister Simmers said: “It’s going to be a full and long day, but it’ll be an honour to engage our residents, while also conducting the sod turning. These events will not only improve our people’s lives, but it will confirm legal homeownership, while also bringing hope that in the not-so-distant future residents in Lamberts Bay, who are approved, will have a house to live in.

As the Western Cape Government, we remain committed to ensuring our people live in a safer, improved and dignified manner. In addition, we’re also empowering our residents through ownership by handing over title deeds.

Tomorrow is an historic and memorable day for these residents and their entire community.”
