On Tuesday, June 13th, Provincial MEC of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, will begin his 2-day Central Karoo District outreach programme. During his visit, Minister Simmers will have engagements with the local municipalities, starting with the Laingsburg Municipality on Tuesday morning. This will be followed by visits to the Beaufort West and Prince Albert municipalities on Wednesday.
Apart from the engagements with the local government MEC Simmers will also hold discussions with the private sector in the region.
A Youth Service engagement in Beaufort West will take place on Tuesday afternoon. The MEC will conclude his first day, with a scheduled public meeting in Nelspoort.
Day 2 will include the ceremonial road opening of the N12, between Beaufort West and Prince Albert, as well as oversight visits of the department’s projects that are currently underway.
