MEC Simmers said: “I’m looking forward to visiting this site and receiving an update. This is yet another development that is ensuring integration, as it will bring people together from different communities, backgrounds and creeds. This flagship project is very important, as it will make a significant difference of those living in informal settlements, as well as those living in backyards.
This project also demonstrates the Western Cape Department Government’s commitment in seeking to ensure that our people live in better and safer environments.”
In adhering to all COVID-19 health protocols, MEC Simmers will be accompanied by a small team, which will be inclusive of the Department’s senior executive officials.
