As our Muslim residents begin the holy month, I send you my best wishes for a blessed Ramadaan, filled with reflection, kindness and peace.
The Muslim community makes a massive contribution to making Cape Town a more caring city. Your courage and kindness in supporting our many residents in need across Cape Town over the past two challenging years is sincerely appreciated.
Before we look ahead, we must first reflect on the past; practice forgiveness; release suffering and that which holds us back from prospering. This process has been especially difficult over the last two years with all of the uncertainty, anxiety and loss.
May Ramadaan bring you renewal and continued strength. I look forward to sharing an Iftar with you during this holy month.
Ramadaan Mubarak – Ramadaan Kareem!
