Master of the High Court fraudster in the dock

GAUTENG – Tebogo Jacob Sebilwane (40) and Keamogetswe Ricardo Mabuza (37), appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Tuesday for alleged late estate fraud.

A case of fraud against the pair was registered at Johannesburg Central during May 2018. The Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime investigation has culminated in the recent arrest of the pair.

It is alleged that the duo fraudulently obtained letters of executorship from the Master of the High Court and consequently sold the house of a deceased person for R280 000 which they pocketed. The children of the deceased reportedly knew nothing about the transaction and laid criminal charges against the pair. Following a lengthy investigation the pair was apprehended on Friday, 23 November 2022.

They appeared on the same day in the Palridge Regional Court and were granted R2000 bail each. The case was postponed to the 24 of January 2023 for legal aid.
