The Police in Marble Hall outside Groblersdal conducted a crime awareness campaign, on Wednesday, 27 October 2021 at Madikoti Primary School.
The event was led by the Rural Safety Coordinator Sergeant Kobe, the Communication Officer Sergeant Mmuroa and the Crime Prevention Official Sergeant Mokwena.
During the event, the following topics were addressed:
Bullying
Emotional abuse
Dangers of drugs
Theft
Possession of stolen property
Illegal gambling
Peer pressure
Drowning
Safety tips
Learners were urged to report any form of illegal activities to the teachers, parents and police. They were also encouraged to focus on their studies.
They were provided with the phone numbers of Marble Hall police station and all the emergency numbers.
About 57 crime hints pamphlets were issued to the learners and teachers. Six SAPS rulers and fifteen key-holders were handed out to learners.
