HOOPSTAD - The Police in Hoopstad are looking for three unknown males in connection with a rape on Monday, 30 August 2021 at approximately 11:45.
It is alleged that an 18-year-old girl was together with her sister on the way to the taxi rank when they were approached by three males. One of the suspects allegedly took out a knife and demand cash. Both sisters did not have cash in their possession.
Subsequently one suspect put a knife to the girl's throat and raped her twice. After the ordeal, the suspects fled from the scene on foot.
The incident was reported to the police and a case of rape was registered for further investigation.
The Identikits were compiled and the first suspect is light in complexion, slender build, 1, 7m in height, he has moustache. He was wearing a black wool hat, purple jacket and black trouser and shirt.
The second suspect is dark in complexion, muscular, 1, 8m in height, he was wearing a black wool hat and black coat. The third suspect is also dark in complexion, muscular, 1, 6m in height, he was wearing a black hat and black coat.
The suspects were speaking South Sotho and can be between the ages of 20 to 35.
