NORTH WEST – Police in Letlhabile have launched a manhunt after the body of 48-year-old Emily Mashabela and her 10-year-old son, Thabiso, were discovered at their residential place in Letlhabile, near Brits on Friday, 25 February 2022. According to information received the brother of the victim was allegedly called by the neighbours, who told him they are observing a lot of flies and a terrible smell coming from the house.
The victim’s brother then phoned the police, who came to the house and the house was opened where after the two bodies were discovered.
Allegedly the half-naked body of Emily was found lying on the couch and Thabiso’s body was found inside his room. At this stage the police cannot confirm the cause or the motive of the killings. Investigations into the matter is underway.
