Manhunt Launched After Armed Robbery at Atok Fuel Station.

Apel: The Police Detectives in Apel have initiated a comprehensive manhunt in response to a business robbery incident that occurred at a fuel station in Atok, Apel policing area in the early hours of Friday, 08 November 2024.

According to South African Police Service, a driver of a white Ford Ranger filled up a full tank of fuel and subsequently produced a firearm, threatening the patrol attendant. Other males who were passengers in the vehicle exited and also brandished firearms at other employees.

They demanded access to the drop-in safes, where they proceeded to grind open the safes and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The police were summoned to the scene and discovered that the employees had been locked in a storeroom. A case of business robbery has been opened as investigations continue.
