Manhunt launched after a shooting ensued during a police chase

FREE STATE – On 10 May 2022, at about 16:00, an armed robbery was reported at Quick Fit in Welkom. It was reported that four suspects were armed with automatic rifles and handguns and sped off from the scene in a white Mercedes Benz with GP number plates.

Today, the same white Mercedes Benz with FS number plates was spotted at Odendaalsrus. Upon noticing police, the suspects sped off in the direction of Welkom.
