On 10 September 2021, the Hlanganani Regional Court sentenced Nhlakanipho Myende (29) to ten years imprisonment for murder.

 

On the night of 6 March 2021 at 21:45, Nhlakanipho was at a local tavern at Nkwezela area in Bulwer when an argument ensued between him and another male. The accused left the tavern and later that night he went to the home of the man he had quarrelled with. He proceeded to the room believing that he would find the same man sleeping. He kicked the door open and he found somebody sleeping. Without uttering a word, he stabbed that person multiple times and he was declared dead at the scene.

 

The deceased was identified as Cwaka Robert Ntshiza (47), he was the uncle of the male that the accused had an argument with. After the killing, the accused went back to the local tavern and informed his friends that he had killed the male he had an argument with. A case of murder was opened at Bulwer SAPS. The accused was immediately arrested on the same night and charged with murder.
