DURBAN – A joint operation was held yesterday, 25 March 2022, at Ezinqoleni at 13:30. The team of police officers from various units were following up on information regarding suspects who were in unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition at KwaShoba area.

The team pounced at the identified premise where a search was conducted. During the search, police found an AK47 with eleven rounds of ammunition as well as pellet gun. The 24-year-old suspect was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. He will appear before the Ezinqoleni Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 March 2022.
