NELSPRUIT - The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has strongly condemned a terrifying incident in which a man was shot and killed. His body was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the late hours of yesterday, 12 June 2022 next to his residential area in Badplaas.
According to the information at police disposal, on the said day at around 23:50 members were informed of a shooting incident at Dlamini A in Badplaas and upon arrival at the scene, they found the lifeless body of a man with several gunshot wounds. The members also noticed a bakkie nearby which was riddled and it was later discovered to be that of the deceased. The man was unfortunately certified dead by the paramedics at the scene.
A case of murder was then opened by the members with an immediate launch of a manhunt for the killers.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident is still under investigation and police at Badplaas urge anyone with information that may assist in their investigation and subsequent arrest of the suspect(s) to call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has further ordered for the arrest of the murderer(s), "We want to send a stern warning to those who have been involved in this brutal killing that, we will hunt them down till we find them. The men and women in Blue will never rest until the suspects are brought to book" warned the General.
