Man arrested for stock theft at Gemsbok Border Post

The Acting District Commander of ZF Mgcawu, Colonel Peet Coetzee applauded members of Gemsbok Border Post on a sterling job tracing stock that was allegedly smuggled from Botswana.

 

The port commander of Gemsbok received information about a male person who has been smuggling animals from Botswana and had allegedly been selling them in some areas near the border post.

 

The team followed up and 15 goats and 1 sheep to the estimated value of R32 000 was recovered on Friday, 7January 2022.

 

The male suspect is detained and the recovered animals will be handed over to the lawful owners. The investigation continues.
