Malamulele police proceed with 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children campaign

The SAPS Malamulele have todayembarked on 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign at several villages around the policing area.

 

The campaign focus on raising awareness against the scourge of GBV and other vulnerable groups that include people living with disabilities and the LGBTQ+ community.

 

Vhembe district Women’s Network chairperson Lieutenant Colonel Ramabulana, EHW Captain Khadambi, Warrant officer Jimmy Ndou from social crime prevention coordinator, Vhembe district Zone 02 members, CPF and YCOP members took part in the event.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Ramabulana educated the community members about the following:

 

*Gender based violence

*Domestic violence

*Sexual offences

*Substance abuse

*Possession of dangerous weapons (unlicensed firearms)

*Missing persons

*Stockvel clubs money

*Credits

 

The community members responded positively to the initiative and vowed to assist the police with important information to assist in fighting crime.
