Limpopo SAPS provincial management meets the MEC for Transport and Community Safety

POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe today led the SAPS top Management in the Province, comprising of the Deputy Provincial Commissioners, District Commissioners and Provincial Heads in a meeting with the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) responsible for Transport and Community Safety.

The Provincial Commissioner led presentations to the MEC on the following topics: Policing, Detectives, Human Resources Management and Development, Supply Chain Management, Finance and associated challenges. Presentations were also made on the Annual Performance Plan (AOP), Crime Overview, Security Overview, cross-border crimes and report on Community Policing Forums.

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation presented on the status of the crimes assigned to their business unit.

The MEC wrapped up the meeting by appreciating the presentations and articulating her expectations as a Member of the Executive Council, asserting that the Police must do their best to reduce the levels of crime as the high crime rate has negative impact on the economy of the Province.
