Today being the last day of celebrating Women’s Month, Kwandengez SAPS together with Community Safety and Liaison, Kwandegezi Community Policing Forum, Department of Social Development, Life Line, Masiphephe Network, Sakura Sakhe, Dream Catchers Organization and People with Disabilities, to officially launch the new Kwandengezi Victim Support Centre.
The newly appointed Station Commander Colonel Hlengiwe Gabashe said, “This is a proud moment for me to be a part of the launch of the Victim Support Centre. I want to thank every partner, stakeholder, sponsor and police member who contributed in making this possible. Together we can always do more.”
Colonel Khubisa represented the Ethekwini District office as the keynote speaker said, “We are so pleased to see that Kwandengezi Community are going to receive the necessary care and help for their victims of crime. A place is created where they can feel safe to speak and to be heard and where they can get the necessary help regarding their sensitive situation.”
