Keetmanshoop man allegedly stabbed to death during argument

A 63-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend’s 18-year-old daughter at Keetmanshoop on Tuesday.

The Namibian Police Force’s crime investigations coordinator for the ||Kharas Region, Deputy Commissioner Nikodemus Mbango, in an incident report said the suspect allegedly stabbed the man in the chest with a knife after they argued.

‘It is alleged that the deceased in the morning hours quarrelled with his girlfriend. The girlfriend then went to the neighbours and later in the afternoon an argument broke out between the deceased and the girlfriend’s daughter. The argument escalated and resulted in a physical fight. The girlfriend’s daughter then allegedly took out a knife and stabbed him,’ said the report.

The stabbing incident allegedly occurred around 15h00 on Tuesday in the Ileni residential area.

Paramedics attended to the scene and found the man in a state of cardiac arrest. CPR was conducted but the man was later declared dead at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.

The police are yet
to arrest the 18-year-old suspect.

The knife allegedly used in the stabbing has been recovered and police investigations continue.
