The owner of Tupeniko Poultry Farming , 36 - year - old Veikko Mandume , started the business six years ago . Nkurenkuru Constituency Councillor Fillipus Tenga at the handover said the funds were availed from the 2023 / 24 budget to empower the youth and marginalised people in the constituency who have already running projects that require further assistance . The councillor said Mandume should make good use of the materials to improve his business . ' We would like to see him producing more so once the business grows , he can employ others and also train others who also want to start poultry farms ,' said Tenga . Mandume on hi s part thanked the regional council . He said it was challenging running the business as the chicken feed is expensive and he has to go to Rundu to buy food and medication for the chickens . Source: The Namibia News Agency
