IVORY PARK – Police officers in Ivory Park on Friday, 29 October 2021, arrested a 27-year-old man from Kaalfontein for alleged possession of stolen property.
The officers descended on the address after information was received that some of the property, robbed from a courier delivery van, was stored at the address. The robbery was perpetrated by a group of five men in the Kaalfontein area.
Upon arrival at the identified premises, permission was granted to enter and the officers were shown the room in which the suspected property was stored.
Among some of the items found, were cell phones and shoes. When asked about the origins of the property, the suspect blamed his friend and some other people that this friend came with. The police are on the lookout for the person who allegedly brought the property to the premises and are confident that they will have him behind bars soon.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 02 November 2021.
