KOMANI – During the early hours of Friday morning, 10 December 2021, an intelligence driven operation was conducted in conjunction with the Queenstown K9 Unit and Mlungisi Crime Prevention Unit in the Mlungisi locality of Komani.
Successes
Three males between the ages of 28 and 35 were arrested for dealing in drugs, when found in possession of 20 grams of Tik, 20 Mandrax tablets, 62 envelopes of dagga, 4 plastics with loose dagga, and 2 × 20 litres of loose dagga, with a total estimated street value of about R238 000-00.
A 25-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs when found in possession of 5 units of Tik, 3 Mandrax tablets, 5 half Mandrax tablets, and 6 quarters of Mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R700-00.
Recoveries
1 Microwave, 2 speakers, 1 Safeway iron valued at R1950-00.
The Acting District Commissioner commended the units for their collaborative efforts including the K9 Unit and Mlungisi detectives for a job well done. She further encouraged the team to continue and prevail in the good work done.
