WESTERN CAPE - An intelligence-led operation resulted in the recovery of stolen motor vehicles.
On Saturday 20 August 2022, Goodwood police attended to a complaint of a Ford Ranger that was stolen in their policing precinct. After an intense investigation, information was pursued which resulted in a joint operation. The investigating team drove to the Eastern Cape in a bid to trace the vehicle. Upon searching the identified premises, the investigating team discovered seven (7) vehicles that were positively reported stolen in the Western Cape. A 44-year-old man was arrested and detained on a charge of possession of stolen motor vehicles.
Once charged the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the East London Magistrate court on the mentioned charge.
