CAPE TOWN – An integrated operation conducted on Thursday, 24 February 2022, proved to be successful when members of the Maitland Flying Squad, assisted by members of the Hawks responded to information pertaining to a fraudulent transaction.

The police members spotted the suspicious vehicle in Bellville, upon which they stopped the vehicle. Following an inspection, they confiscated a total of 318 boxes of beer with an estimated street value of R348 000 00. Ten suspects between the ages of 25 and 55 were arrested and detained on a charge of possession of stolen property.

Once charged the suspects are expected to make a court appearance in Blue Downs on the mentioned charge.
