Information Regulator extends submission deadline of annual reports

Extension notice for submission of annual reports in terms of section 32 of PAIA for public bodies

The Information Regulator (Regulator) has received multiple requests from Information Officers (IOs) and delegated Deputy Information Officers (DIOs) for an extension of the deadline for submissions in line with section 32 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000 (PAIA). In light of this, the Regulator has decided to extend the deadline for submissions of Section 32 Annual Reports for the 2021/2022 Financial Year to 16 September 2022.

Failure to submit the aforesaid annual report to the Regulator may result in an enforcement action being taken against the Information Officer. Please note that the IOs or their delegated DIOs who have not submitted their annual reports are requested to submit the reports through the following online portal- https://registrations.inforegulator.org.za/sign-up(link is external)
