The 2022 Data Protection Africa Summit

The Africa Digital Rights Hub in collaboration with the Information Regulator, will be hosting the 2022 Edition of the Data Protection Africa Summit under the theme ‘Developing Data Protection for Africa’s Digital Economy’, from 21 to 22 November 2022 at the Protea by Marriott Hotel Johannesburg Wanderers.

This year’s Summit will bring together data controllers, processors, innovators, regulators, policy makers and lawmakers across the globe to discuss and offer solutions to emerging data protection/privacy issues on the continent.

It also among others, seeks to build capacity, facilitate collaboration, showcase solutions and expertise, as well as explore critical issues of data protection/privacy on the African continent.

The Africa Digital Rights’ Hub is a not-for-profit think tank registered and based in Accra, Ghana that advances and promotes research and advocacy on digital rights across the African continent. It is interested in the impact of digital technology on people living in Africa.

Given the critical role the media plays in the industry, we are by this invite offering members of the media a complimentary pass to attend and cover the event. Media who would like to attend must RSVP in order to receive the allocated complimentary pass.
