Two retired SAPS Generals and one serving General have been charged for corruption.

The independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has investigated Corruption charges against Generals.

The above charges follow interviews of advertised posts that were held in 2016.

The Three Generals who were members of the selection panel responsible for the interview and recommendation of candidates in relation to the advertised posts. They are alleged to have agreed to temper with the scoresheets which resulted in a different candidate being appointed thus prejudicing the deserving candidate.

The Generals are due to appear in the Tshwane Magistrate Court on Wednesday 28 June 2023 for first appearance.
